Hi, I’m Rick from Japan. As you can see from my name, Rick is my English name which my father gave me. My real name is Ryoma. Nice to meet you.

So, let me introduce myself. I like fashion so much. The reason why I love fashion is because fashion is something that all people in the entire world do every day. In other words, fashion is something that all mankind will do for the rest of their lives until they die. People who are not interested in fashion, people who do not want to leave their homes today, people who live naked because they have no clothes to wear, people who are born today, people who die today. They all wear fashion. This is a matter of course. I think it is artistic in terms of what kind of clothes, colors, patterns, materials, how they are worn, and what kind of impression they make on people. It is like visual art. For me, when I walk down the street, it’s like a museum. And I want to make my apparel brand so well-recognized in the industry, and I will be the chief designer.

Let me explain why I came up with the idea of creating an apparel brand. Have you heard of Raf Simons? Raf Simons is a legendary brand that has rewritten many fashion industry histories, having recently announced the end of its brand.

One of the brand’s past collections is called the Terrorism Period, a look that was released in 2002, the year of my birth. This collection was released in the same year that the terrorist attacks occurred in the U.S., but Mr. Raf Simons is said to have had the idea in mind long before that. When I first saw this, I was shocked because I thought fashion was just for looking cool. I thought that it was possible to use fashion to address social issues, that many people were fascinated by it, and most of all, that it was cool! I began to study fashion. I started to study fashion, and it became my goal to spread my opinions to the world through fashion.
